Here are some tips for a successful transition to your home setting!
Upon arrive carefully unpack your plant and set it aside from your other plants and let it assimilate to its new environment! This should be done for at least one day.
It is common for the plant to be in shock after its journey. The journey included any number of days packed in a box with no light, no water, rough handling and temperature variances. Due to this stress, please give your plant at least a week to recover!
After settling into its new home, check the plant medium to see if it is dry and requires water and water as needed.
After arrival at your home, it is common for the leaf tips to turn yellow or get dark spots. Many types of orchids naturally drop their leaves making room for new ones, so please do not be concerned as it is part of the plant’s normal life cycle.
Dendrobium Nobile Orchids will go dormant in the winter and may lose their leaves entirely as they prepare for flower buds late in winter to spring.
